The station is spinning. The pipes are not okay.

Space Plumbers is a co-op game for 2 to 6 people who are, at best, plumbing-adjacent. Patch the leaks before the coolant tank runs dry, and try not to catch the coolant with your face.

Footage from the prototype, staged for the camera. The panic is real.

Benefits
Coolant (airborne)

You and up to five friends have been hired to keep the station running.

Nobody checked your references. Pipes burst, the alarm goes off, and someone has to read the map, someone has to grab the patch tool, and someone has to yell "LEFT! NO, YOUR OTHER LEFT!"

Every litre that floats away comes out of the tank. Empty the tank and the shift is over. Make it to the end and you get paid in points.

Features (allegedly)

All of these are in the prototype today. We checked. Twice, because the first time someone threw a wrench at us.

Four plumbers in space suits and overalls under a red pipe as teal coolant sprays from its leaks

Leaks don't wait

Pipes start breaking a few seconds into your shift, and they break faster the longer it goes. The coolant floats out in big teal blobs that look delicious. Do not lick them.

Coolant is not a beverage. This is the only warning in the game.

Gravity is a rumour

The station spins to make gravity, so everything you throw curves. Toss the patch tool to a friend and it lands a bit spinward of them. That's not a bug. That's physics. We looked it up.

Walk spinward and you get heavier. Walk the other way and you get lighter. Use this knowledge wisely.

The map console: a plan of the north wall with four open leaks marked and listed

Read the map, you professionals

When the alarm goes off, the map console shows every open leak and how long it's been spraying. One person reads it. Everyone else shouts "WHERE?" at them.

The end of a shift: SHIFT SURVIVED with the score, the coolant lost and the next crew's setup

Shift survived (barely)

Patches score points. Fast patches score more. Whatever's left in the tank at the end is a bonus. Then you press Enter and do it all again, slightly worse.

How co-op works

Online with friends over Steam, or on your own network by IP. One person hosts and everyone else joins.

  1. Crew up

2 to 6 players. Host a lobby on Steam and share the code, or join by IP. Proximity voice is built in, so whispering works and yelling carries.

  2. Clock in

Press Enter to start a 4-minute shift. The station spins at 6 rpm. Your inner ear will file a complaint.

  3. Patch leaks

The alarm flashes, the console shows where. Grab a patch tool, hold it on the crack, and keep it there till it's sealed.

  4. Watch the tank

Spilled coolant drains the tank. If it hits zero, the shift ends. If you last 4 minutes, you get a bonus for what's left.

Bigger crew, bigger mess

Each shift scales to your crew: more pipes that can break, more patch tools and a bigger tank. Drag to see.

5pipes can break
2patch tools
400litre tank

Try it: patch this leak

Press and hold on the crack until it seals. Let go and it keeps spraying. That's the whole job. You're basically qualified now.
